לפלגותא לתרעיא לבני קרח משלמיהו בר קורא מן בני אסף:
asp bny mn qwra br mshlmyhw qrkh lbny lthreya lplgwtha
For the divisions of the doorkeepers: of the Korahites, Meshelemiah the son of Kore, of the sons of Asaph.

ולמשלמיהו בנין זכריהו בוכרא ידיעאל תנינא זבדיהו תליתאה יתניאל רביעאה:
rbyeah ythnyal thlythah zbdyhw thnyna ydyeal bwkra zkryhw bnyn wlmshlmyhw
Meshelemiah had sons: Zechariah the firstborn, Jediael the second, Zebadiah the third, Jathniel the fourth,

עילם חמישאה יהוחנן שתיתאה אליהועיני שביעאה:
shbyeah alyhweyny shthythah yhwkhnn khmyshah eylm
Elam the fifth, Jehohanan the sixth, and Eliehoenai the seventh.

ולעבד אדום בנין שמעיה בוכרא יהוזבד תנינא יואח תליתאה ושכר רביעאה ונתנאל חמישאה:
khmyshah wnthnal rbyeah wshkr thlythah ywakh thnyna yhwzbd bwkra shmeyh bnyn adwm wlebd
Obed-Edom had sons: Shemaiah the firstborn, Jehozabad the second, Joah the third, Sacar the fourth, Nethanel the fifth,

עמיאל שתיתאה יששכר שביעאה פעולתי תמינאה ארום בריך יתיה יי על עיסק ארונא דיי דהוה בביתיה כד איתיוהי ואעניעוהי בביתיה ופליג ליה איקרא וחמא מבנוי ומבני בנוי תמנין ותרין רבני ליואי:
lyway rbny wthryn thmnyn bnwy wmbny mbnwy wkhma ayqra lyh wplyg bbythyh waenyewhy aythywhy kd bbythyh dhwh dyy arwna eysq el yy ythyh bryk arwm thmynah pewlthy shbyeah yshshkr shthythah emyal
Ammiel the sixth, Issachar the seventh, and Peullethai the eighth; for God blessed him.

ולשמעיה בריה אתילידו בנין שליטין לבית אבהתהון ארום רבנין גברי חילא אנון:
anwn khyla gbry rbnyn arwm abhthhwn lbyth shlyTyn bnyn athylydw bryh wlshmeyh
Sons were also born to Shemaiah his son, who ruled over the house of their father; for they were mighty men of valor.

בני שמעיה עתני ורפאל ועובד אדום אלזבד אחוי רבני חילא אליהו וסמכיהו:
wsmkyhw alyhw khyla rbny akhwy alzbd adwm wewbd wrpal ethny shmeyh bny
The sons of Shemaiah: Othni, Rephael, Obed, and Elzabad, whose relatives were valiant men, Elihu, and Semachiah.

כל אלין מבני עובד אדום אנון ובניהון ואחיהון גברי חילא בחילא לפולחנא שתין ותרין לעובד אדום:
adwm lewbd wthryn shthyn lpwlkhna bkhyla khyla gbry wakhyhwn wbnyhwn anwn adwm ewbd mbny alyn kl
All these were of the sons of Obed-Edom with their sons and their brothers, able men in strength for the service: sixty-two of Obed-Edom.

ולמשלמיהו בנין ואחין גברי חילא תמניסר:
thmnysr khyla gbry wakhyn bnyn wlmshlmyhw
Meshelemiah had sons and brothers, eighteen valiant men.

ולחסה מן בני מררי בנין שמרי רישא ארום לא הוה בוכרא ומניה אבוי לרישא:
lrysha abwy wmnyh bwkra hwh la arwm rysha shmry bnyn mrry bny mn wlkhsh
Also Hosah, of the children of Merari, had sons: Shimri the chief (for though he was not the firstborn, yet his father made him chief),

חלקיהו תנינא טבליהו תליתאה זכריהו רביעאה כל בנין ואחין די לחוסה תליתסר:
thlythsr lkhwsh dy wakhyn bnyn kl rbyeah zkryhw thlythah Tblyhw thnyna khlqyhw
Hilkiah the second, Tebaliah the third, and Zechariah the fourth. All the sons and brothers of Hosah were thirteen.

לאלין פלגות תרעיא לרישי גבריא מטרתא כל קבל אחוהון לשמשא בבית מקדשא דיי:
dyy mqdsha bbyth lshmsha akhwhwn qbl kl mTrtha gbrya lryshy threya plgwth lalyn
Of these were the divisions of the doorkeepers, even of the chief men, having offices like their brothers, to minister in Yahweh’s house.

ורמו עדבין כזעירא כרבא לבית אבהתהון לתרעא ותרעא:
wthrea lthrea abhthhwn lbyth krba kzeyra edbyn wrmw
They cast lots, the small as well as the great, according to their fathers’ houses, for every gate.

ונפל עדבא למדינחא לשלמיהו וזכריהו בריה יועץ מליך בסכלתנא רמו עדבין ונפק עדביה לצפונא:
ltspwna edbyh wnpq edbyn rmw bsklthna mlyk ywets bryh wzkryhw lshlmyhw lmdynkha edba wnpl
The lot eastward fell to Shelemiah. Then for Zechariah his son, a wise counselor, they cast lots; and his lot came out northward.

לעובד אדום דרומא ולבנוי בית שקפיא:
shqpya byth wlbnwy drwma adwm lewbd
To Obed-Edom southward; and to his sons the storehouse.

לשפים ולחוסה למערבא עם תרעא דמתרמא בכיבשא דסלקא כל קבל בית מקדשא מטרא כל קבל מטרא:
mTra qbl kl mTra mqdsha byth qbl kl dslqa bkybsha dmthrma threa em lmerba wlkhwsh lshpym
To Shuppim and Hosah westward, by the gate of Shallecheth, at the causeway that goes up, watchman opposite watchman.

למדינחא ליואי אשתה לצפונא ליומא ארבעה לדרומא ליומא ארבעה ולבית שקפיא תרין תרין:
thryn thryn shqpya wlbyth arbeh lywma ldrwma arbeh lywma ltspwna ashthh lyway lmdynkha
Eastward were six Levites, northward four a day, southward four a day, and for the storehouse two and two.

כלפי ברא למערבא ארבעה לכיבשא תרין כלפי ברא:
bra klpy thryn lkybsha arbeh lmerba bra klpy
For Parbar westward, four at the causeway, and two at Parbar.

אלין פלגות תרעיא לבני קרח ולבני מררי:
mrry wlbny qrkh lbny threya plgwth alyn
These were the divisions of the doorkeepers; of the sons of the Korahites, and of the sons of Merari.
20
וליואי אחיה על תסברי בית מקדשא דיי ולתסברי קודשיא:
qwdshya wlthsbry dyy mqdsha byth thsbry el akhyh wlyway
Of the Levites, Ahijah was over the treasures of God’s house and over the treasures of the dedicated things.
21
בני לעדן בני גרשון ללעדן רישי אבהתא ללעדן מבני גרשון יחיאל:
ykhyal grshwn mbny lledn abhtha ryshy lledn grshwn bny ledn bny
The sons of Ladan, the sons of the Gershonites belonging to Ladan, the heads of the fathers’ households belonging to Ladan the Gershonite: Jehieli.

בני יחיאל זיתם ויואל אחוי על אורירי בית מקדשא דיי:
dyy mqdsha byth awryry el akhwy wywal zythm ykhyal bny
The sons of Jehieli: Zetham, and Joel his brother, over the treasures of Yahweh’s house.
23
לעמרם ליצהר לחברון לעזיאל:
lezyal lkhbrwn lytshr lemrm
Of the Amramites, of the Izharites, of the Hebronites, of the Uzzielites:

ושבואל הוא יונתן בר גרשום בר משה תב לדחלתא דיי וכד חמא דוד דהוה מתבהיל על ממונא מניה נגודא על תסבריא:
thsbrya el ngwda mnyh mmwna el mthbhyl dhwh dwd khma wkd dyy ldkhltha thb mshh br grshwm br ywnthn hwa wshbwal
Shebuel the son of Gershom, the son of Moses, was ruler over the treasuries.

ואחוי לאליעזר רחביהו בריה ישעיהו בריה ויורם בריה וזכרי בריה ושלומית בריה:
bryh wshlwmyth bryh wzkry bryh wywrm bryh ysheyhw bryh rkhbyhw lalyezr wakhwy
His brothers: of Eliezer, Rehabiah his son, and Jeshaiah his son, and Joram his son, and Zichri his son, and Shelomoth his son.

הוא שלומית ואחוי ממנן על כל תסברי קודשיא דאקדיש דוד מלכא ורישי אבהתא לרבני אלפין ומאותא ורבני חילא:
khyla wrbny wmawtha alpyn lrbny abhtha wryshy mlka dwd daqdysh qwdshya thsbry kl el mmnn wakhwy shlwmyth hwa
This Shelomoth and his brothers were over all the treasuries of the dedicated things, which David the king, and the heads of the fathers’ households, the captains over thousands and hundreds, and the captains of the army, had dedicated.
27
מן קרביא ומן עדאה אקדישו לתקפא לבית מקדשא דיי:
dyy mqdsha lbyth lthqpa aqdyshw edah wmn qrbya mn
They dedicated some of the plunder won in battles to repair Yahweh’s house.

וכל הקדישא דאקדיש שמואל סכואה ושאול בר קיש ואבנר בר נר ויואב בר צרויה כל הקדישא הוה על ידא דשלומית ואחוי:
wakhwy dshlwmyth yda el hwh hqdysha kl tsrwyh br wywab nr br wabnr qysh br wshawl skwah shmwal daqdysh hqdysha wkl
All that Samuel the seer, Saul the son of Kish, Abner the son of Ner, and Joab the son of Zeruiah had dedicated, whoever had dedicated anything, it was under the hand of Shelomoth and of his brothers.

לזרעית יצהר בריתא על ישראל לסרכיא ולדיניא:
wldynya lsrkya yshral el brytha ytshr lzreyth
Of the Izharites, Chenaniah and his sons were appointed to the outward business over Israel, for officers and judges.
30
לחברון חשביהו ואחוי גברי חילא אלפא ושבע מאה על אסערות ישראל מעיברא לירדנא מערבא לכל עבידתא דיי ולעבידת מלכא:
mlka wlebydth dyy ebydtha lkl merba lyrdna meybra yshral aserwth el mah wshbe alpa khyla gbry wakhwy khshbyhw lkhbrwn
Of the Hebronites, Hashabiah and his brothers, one thousand seven hundred men of valor, had the oversight of Israel beyond the Jordan westward, for all the business of Yahweh and for the service of the king.

לזרעית חברון יריה מתמנא לרישא לזרעית חברון לגנסוי לאבהתא בשנת ארבעין למלכות דוד אתבעו ואשתכח בהון גברי חילא ביעזר גלעד:
gled byezr khyla gbry bhwn washthkkh athbew dwd lmlkwth arbeyn bshnth labhtha lgnswy khbrwn lzreyth lrysha mthmna yryh khbrwn lzreyth
Of the Hebronites, Jerijah was the chief of the Hebronites, according to their generations by fathers’ households. They were sought for in the fortieth year of the reign of David, and mighty men of valor were found among them at Jazer of Gilead.

ואחוי גברי חילא תרין אלפין ושבע מאה רישי אבהתא ומנינון דוד על שבט ראובן ושבט גד ופלגות שבטא דמנשה לכל פתגמא דיי ופתגם דמלכא:
dmlka wpthgm dyy pthgma lkl dmnshh shbTa wplgwth gd wshbT rawbn shbT el dwd wmnynwn abhtha ryshy mah wshbe alpyn thryn khyla gbry wakhwy
His relatives, men of valor, were two thousand seven hundred, heads of fathers’ households, whom King David made overseers over the Reubenites, the Gadites, and the half-tribe of the Manassites, for every matter pertaining to God and for the affairs of the king.
